I offer my deepest prayers to the many victims that suffered as a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
I was heartbroken to see the sheer scale of the damage on the news. There are some things that I still can't fully grasp, and as the aftershocks continue, I am sure there are many people that spend sleepless nights due to anxiety and fear.
Nevertheless, seeing people start reconstruction activities gives me hope. I know that things are hard, but I strongly believe that Japan, our home, has the strength to overcome this major natural disaster. It may make time, but I pray that the Japanese will soon once again be able to spend their days in peace.
I am most worried about the children-they are surely more scared than the adults. I want to do whatever I can to return the smiles to their little faces as they battle their fears. Although a humble contribution, I intend to continue doing what I can.
Please make a donation to the assistance activities being conducted by the Japan Committee for UNICEF.
