We should reduce plastic wastes. First,plastic waste goes into the sea and hurts sea animals.For example,sea turtles sometimes mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and eat them. As a result, they can’t digest it and may die. Second, plastic waste pollutes the ocean and destroys its beauty. For example, when there is a lot of plastic waste on the beach, the ocean looks dirty. As a result, the number of tourists decreases. In conclusion,we should reduce plastic waste in Japan to protect the ocean.

私は学校の学習で、SDGsについて学びました。今回調べて知ったのは、世界のジェンダー差別についてです。世界には私と同じ年齢の子でも全く違う環境で育ち、差別をされ虐待をされたりなど今でも学校に行けていない子がいるという事実を知り、本当に2030年までに達成できるのか不安になりました。ですが、世界ではこの目標を実現するために行動している人たちがいると知って私もその1人になり、女の子達が少しでも差別をされない環境で過ごせるようにしたいと思いました。SDGsについて調べると、自分には関係ないと思うんじゃなくて、自分で進んで少しずつ行動していくことが大切だということに気づけた気がします。自分も今まで差別をしたことがなかったか振り返ってみて、これからは差別をしないように意識していこうと思います。

For example, in Japan, many candies are sold in a large plastic bag. Moreover, each candy is individually wrapped in a small plastic package. However, in other Eco-friendly countries, plastic bags are not commonly used, and many candies are placed directly in a bottle. I am sure that if we stop over-packaging, we can save more sea animals and seabirds.
